Julia Foley - Research Analyst

Julia Foley has been a Research Analyst for Mader & Shannon Wealth Management since November 2009. Julia is a returning member of the Mader & Shannon team: she originally joined MSWM in the summer or 2008 as Assistant to George Shannon and has returned after taking a year in London to complete a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics.

Julia’s role as Research Analyst is to assist Chief Investment Strategist and Portfolio Manager George Shannon in his portfolio management and investment strategy implementation. She analyzes client holdings and researches individual stocks and bonds to enable investment decisions regarding the buying, selling, and allocation of various portfolio positions. Julia creates charts and graphs to update clients and relationship managers on client’s individual performance as well as MSWM’s historical performance. She also maintains and distributes up-to-date research on market trends and developments.

Julia brings an international perspective to Mader & Shannon. Although she attended high school in the Kansas City area, Julia is originally from Canada and, in 2007, graduated from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec with a degree in Political Science. After spending a year in France, she went on to complete a Master of Science degree in Social Research Methods from the London School of Economics.
